JAPANESE LITERATURE MAJOR

JAPANESE LITERATURE MAJOR

A variety of highly evaluated Japanese literature courses taught by excellent professors

•Our Japanese literature major has ranked high in the esteem of the Japanese public and that of foreign countries.
•Our targets of study cover ancient, medieval, and modern Japanese literature. It is possible for students to study ancient writings, traditional Japanese poetry, Japanese legends, modern prose and verse, Japanese linguistics, and Chinese classics. Few graduate schools in Japan have such a variety of courses.
•In 2007, we established a course in which master's degree students who want to become teachers can receive a special teaching license.
