
ENGLISH AND AMERICAN LITERATURE MAJOR
In addition to literature and linguistics classes taught by excellent professors, this major offers classes in practical teaching skills and English teaching skills for younger children.
•This major features substantial curricula including both literature and linguistic fields such as English literature, American literature, Irish literature, English linguistics, and linguistics. All classes are taught by excellent professors. An American literature class is taught by an American professor.
•Since 2007, we have offered classes which teach good theory and practice to students who want to become teachers in junior high or senior high schools.
Offerings include English educational theory and research on second language learning, both of which are required for teaching jobs while students work on individual study.
•We established classes in which students can study on English education for younger children before English becomes a required subject in elementary schools.
