I arrived at Disney housing on the 6th of August. My housing complex is called Chatham Square. After I checked into Housing, I received the program guide book, took the photo for the housing ID which is necessary to access any housing complex, and then I was given the housing key. The housing transportation is very convenient.  We take a bus to commute to work, the supermarket and the entire theme park. We can also check for arrival or departure times and delays on using the Disney housing transportation website on our phone.

I live with 8 people in a house, four from America, two from Korea and my partner from Baiko. Everyone is so friendly, we get along well with everyone and have a great time together.

On my first day of work, I attended Disney Traditions that introduces each Cast Member to the culture and heritage of the world-famous Disney organization. We learned the four keys of hospitality conduct, other Disney points, and also about both the quality of Disney Shows and the role I play in Disney Company. On the first training days I was introduced to it all on a tour around the theme park. I learned in detail about taking responsibility in my role and all the rules in my working place, and then I took a test about what I had learned.

I work at Emporium Merchandise in Magic Kingdom, where is the busiest store in the entire park. My shift always starts late at night. I work seven or eight hours each day and have 2 days off every week. I work at the register and a stocking position that helps me to communicate and make the day great for every guest.

On my days off, I usually hang out with all my roommates- exploring all the theme parks as well as the American culture cuisine. Being cast members we can access any theme park as a guest and get discounts in many stores. In our housing complex, they usually hold night parties which are so much fun.

Basically I have three classes – the business management class, the Disney organizational leadership class and the online class. I have one day every week for each class and they last for four hours. Each class takes place in the housing complex. Every week, we have an assignment for the online class and we have a task after finishing three weeks of studying.
